Volunteers with the University of Calgary’s Students’ Union gave away more than 650 refillable cups to students last week as part of Enviropalooza, a week long environmental awareness campaign.

As refillable cups were given out, paper cups were collected and on Friday the paper cups were piled high in the south courtyard of MacEwan Student Centre to show the amount of waste produced in just one week.

Other Enviropalooza activities included documentary viewings, discussions on environmentalism and other waste audit displays.
