Nominations open for 2013 SustainabilityON awards

Do you know someone who has stepped up and become a sustainability champion at the University of Calgary? Nominate them for a 2013 SustainabilityON Award.

The categories are:

  • Student Leadership
  • SU Student Club
  • Staff Leadership
  • Teaching Leadership

The deadline for nominations is midnight, March 6.

Recipients of the awards will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of campus community leaders. The awards will be presented at the annual SustainabilityON Awards event on April 8.

Every year, the Office of Sustainability recognizes notable students, staff and faculty who have contributed significantly to sustainability at the University of Calgary.

Last year’s recipients of SustainabilityON Awards included: the staff team that managed the Co-generation Plant project resulting in a 30 per cent improvement to campus energy efficiency; and student Lauren Rooney for many accomplishments, such as organizing the International Student Energy Summit.
