Do you know an exceptional individual who would be a strong candidate for an honorary degree?

Senior leaders, students, faculty, staff or community leaders can nominate a well-known or rising star for an honorary degree. Nominators do not need to have a personal relationship with the nominee.

Who should I nominate?

The person you are nominating should have distinguished themselves from others and have achieved an exceptional standard of excellence in their chosen field. They should have made an impact in their discipline, community, or to society overall. They should also inspire our students and be seen as a role model for their future.

Honorary degree nominees can include leaders in education, the arts, community, medicine, volunteer or non-profit sector, or a non-governmental organization.

Past recipients include contemporary Canadian Aboriginal artist Alex Janvier, teacher and science enthusiast Brian Jackson, and geologist Alice Payne
