UCalgary kicks off Alumni All-Access with 2021 Arch Awards

Calgary, AB – From researchers, CEOs and entrepreneurs to award-winning authors, community champions and Olympians, UCalgary’s global community of alumni are redefining the future and are being celebrated during Alumni All-Access 2021. Running Sept. 17 – Oct. 7 and kicking off with the annual Arch Awards, this year’s Alumni All-Access is packed with dozens of interactive online webinars, events and digital experiences.

Event 1:

What: Alumni All-Access 2021. Events include:

• Creating a Winning Mindset in Uncertain Times: discussions with Olympian Mark Tewksbury and top 10 all-time Canadian coach Debbie Muir.
• What's the Beef About Beef?: dispelling myths around animal care, food production, and that steak on your plate.
• Collaborating on Climate Action: Chancellor Deborah Yedlin moderates a panel of distinguished guests who will discuss the importance and priorities of the forthcoming COP26.
• Effects of Early Childhood Stress on Development: Learn about the effects of toxic stress on children and discover evidence-based strategies that help caregivers mitigate and buffer stressors.

About the Arch Awards:

The Arch Awards are the highest honour awarded by the UCalgary Alumni Association. Since 1985, they have celebrated bold alumni who’ve transformed business and community, art and technology, sport and health, for the betterment of all. This years 2021 Arch Award recipients are innovators and change makers who are positively impacting Calgary and beyond.
