UCalgary ignites young minds at Canada's largest science fair

Continued partnership with the Calgary Youth Science Fair supports the next generation of innovators

Calgary, AB – Nearly 900 students are set to bring their scientific curiosity and entrepreneurial thinking to life at the Calgary Youth Science Fair (CYSF), with the continued partnership of the University of Calgary.

The fair, which is the largest of its kind in Canada, runs from April 11 to 13 at the Olympic Oval. The University of Calgary, a long-time supporter of the CYSF, is excited to once again help spark an interest in science among students from grades 5 to 12.

The volunteer-run CYSF as been in operation since 1962, and is showcasing almost 650 inventive projects this year.

“The University of Calgary is proud to partner with the CYSF in an event that encourages such creativity and a love of science among students. These young innovators are the embodiment of entrepreneurial thinking — taking initiative, being resourceful, and learning from experience. We are honoured to support their journey.”
