UCalgary to co-host Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in virtual dialogue with Canadian students
Calgary, AB – Volodymyr Zelenskyy, president of Ukraine, will speak to students across Canada on Tuesday via an interactive video link to select post-secondary schools, including the University of Calgary.
The June 22 event, organized by the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and the Ukrainian embassy in Canada, is to be broadcast to universities across Canada, with students at four schools – UToronto, UCalgary, University of Saskatchewan and Université de Montréal – invited to ask the Ukraine leader questions following his speech.
Zelenskyy is expected to discuss how Canada – and Canadian universities in particular – can support Ukraine’s fight for survival as Russia’s invasion of the eastern European country nears its fourth month.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 22, 7:15 to 9:30 a.m., MDT
WHERE: Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning, 434 Collegiate Blvd NW, University of Calgary. A live stream link is availabel for those who can't make it in person.
WHO: Media are welcome to attend the event, but are not permitted to ask President Zelenskyy questions. Students and event organizers will be available to talk with media.
