Stephen Randall appointed to the Order of Canada

History Emeritus and former Dean of Social Sciences among 83 appointments announced by Governor General, Mary Simon

History colleague and former Dean of Social Sciences, Dr. Stephen Randall, has just been appointed to the Order of Canada by the Governor General, Mary Simon. The Order of Canada "recognizes individuals who have made positive and lasting impacts on communities here in Canada, or who have brought honour to our country abroad” (Mary Simon, quoted on CBC News, June 27, 2024). He is one of two new appointees with UCalgary affiliations. Congratulations, Dr. Randall!
