Alpha 2 Release Notes

The second alpha release of the UCalgary Design System (UCDS) is now live and includes a new set of foundational components designed to support consistency, usability, and accessibility across UCalgary’s digital ecosystem.

Release items from Alpha 2

The following components were completed in this release:

  • Core components
    • Button
    • Icon
  • Form element components
    • Chip
    • Dropdown
    • Text Input
    • Checkbox
    • Radio Button

These components have been built with accessibility, reusability, and performance in mind and are now live in the UCalgary Design System. Documentation is available for both design and development - designers can explore assets in Figma, while developers can find implementation details and examples in Storybook to begin integrating them into their projects.
