As a researcher, composer and role-model teacher, Professor Allan Bell demonstrates the breadth of excellence at the University of Calgary. One of Canada’s most honoured and recognized composers, Bell will reflect on a career that has seen him recognized and rewarded for his exemplary contributions to the music industry at an international scale. He has been nominated numerous times for the Students’ Union Teaching Excellence Awards, is a member of the Order of the University of Calgary (’04), was elected to the Royal Society of Canada (’07) and was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada (’12).

WHAT: 2013 Lecture of Lifetime. Professor Allan Bell will reflect on a lifetime of teaching and composing.
