Passionate about innovation. Committed to education. Guy Levesque’s 30-year journey comes full circle at the Hunter Hub. Guy Levesque has driven transformative change in roles at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the University of Manitoba, the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), and the University of Ottawa. He has led initiatives that strengthened Canada’s innovation landscape, fostered research excellence, and built industry partnerships.
Guy has seen firsthand how fostering entrepreneurial thinking unlocks human potential, drives meaningful research, and creates lasting societal impact. This conviction fuels his commitment to supporting the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
At the University of Ottawa, Guy served as the inaugural Associate Vice-President of Innovation, Partnerships, and Entrepreneurship, where he spearheaded programs that solidified the university’s leadership in local and national innovation ecosystems. He also played a key role at the CFI, where he managed critical research infrastructure funding and implemented policies that empowered cutting-edge research across Canada.
Guy began his career as a high school science teacher, a role that ignited his passion for nurturing talent and inspiring future leaders. Now, as Executive Director of the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking, he is returning to his first love: developing the next generation of changemakers.
At the Hunter Hub, Guy is committed to fostering entrepreneurial thinking, advancing student and researcher programs, and building impactful community and industry partnerships. His leadership aligns perfectly with the Hub’s mission: to empower future-ready leaders and transform lives through entrepreneurial thinking.
Guy holds a Master of Science (Geology) and Bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Education from the University of Ottawa.
