Scholarship opportunities

At their core, UCalgary Recovery Community (UCRC) awards aim to reduce stigma and increase visibility for recovery on campus. By uplifting students who share their stories in big and/or small ways, support peers, and participate in recovery-focused programming, the UCRC helps foster a culture of compassion, belonging, and connection.

Recipients contribute to UCRC programs and outreach through peer support, events, and campus engagement, helping create substance-free and recovery-affirming spaces for students, staff, and faculty. Their service reflects the strength, leadership, and care that recovery cultivates.

By celebrating Recovery Champions, UCRC recognizes that students in recovery bring valuable insight, resilience, and community leadership to UCalgary — and that recovery belongs on campus.
