Max Chan


Biography

Max is Vice President, Treasury and Enterprise Risk for Enbridge Inc. leading teams in Calgary, Houston and Chatham overseeing enterprise wide Treasury, Pension Investments, Risk Assessment, Risk Control and Credit. Prior to joining Enbridge Max spent over a decade with BMO Bank of Montreal in a variety of senior banking roles.

Max holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Calgary (’01), an MBA from Dalhousie University (’10) and has completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at the Harvard Business School. Max is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Max was born and raised in Calgary and has been actively involved at the University of Calgary as a mentor at the Haskayne School of Business and as a member of the Faculty of Arts Alumni Advisory Council. Max was recognized as the Distinguished Graduate from the Faculty of Arts at the 2019 Convocation ceremonies. Max currently serves on the Board of Directors for Inn from the Cold, a non profit organization that serves homeless families in Calgary. Previously Max was Chair of the Board of Directors for the Westside Recreation Centre. In his spare time, Max can be found skiing and mountain biking with his wife and three young kids in Panorama BC.
