I was born and raised in Calgary from an oil and gas family. I love sports - golf, hockey, cricket, squash, tennis, and baseball. I'm into smooth jazz, movies, and reading philosophy.
I completed my BSc in Science, Technology and Society in 1997 (U of C). I went to law school at the University of Tulsa (Oklahoma), graduating with a JD in 2004. Thereafter, I completed a LLM (Master of Laws) in Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law. I practiced in many areas of law, but in recent years I began focusing on renewable energy. I have taught a course at Haskayne School of Business in energy management in 2016. I have ten academic publications in law review journals.
I am also a legal instructor at Reeves College North, preparing legal assistants for jobs in the legal profession. In this light, I have published a book "Jobs in the Canadian Legal Marketplace." My current publication is a book entitled "Renewable Energy in Canada - Building a Sustainable Future".
I promote energy sustainability.
