Donna Spaner graduated from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law in 2004 and was called to the Alberta Bar in July, 2005. She completed a Masters of Law from York University, Osgoode Hall School of law in Criminal Process and Procedure in June, 2012. She has worked as a prosecutor for most of her legal career. Recently she spent two years with the Calgary Police Service working as counsel to the Real Time Operations Centre.
She is also a member of the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta and has been since August, 1991. She still works as a casual staff nurse, generally on Saturday nights, at the Foothills Medical Centre Emergency Department in Calgary, Alberta.
She enjoys the great outdoors and spends lots of time in the Canadian Rockies enjoying the natural beauty and challenging terrain.
