Narmin Ismail-Teja


Narmin is a Principal of impact@work inc. delivering consulting, training, and facilitating, since 1992 across all sectors and industries in Calgary and globally.

Narmin is committed to education and civic engagement as fundamental tools to change the lives of individual and communities.  Here consulting and community work focuses on creating respectful inclusive spaces where everyone’s voice is heard and they feel their personal experience and education add value to their workplace and community.

Narmin’s work includes Strategic Leadership Development, Respectful Workplace/Diversity and Cultural Competence/Anti-racism/Pluralism, Trust Building, Strategic Planning Team Development, Organizational Culture Change, and Workshop Facilitation.  She uses adult learning principles including popular theatre techniques, simulation, as well as extensive participatory learning to ensure high impact learning that is fun and interactive.

Narmin is an active member of the community. She has served as a Board member and as Board Chair with YMCA Calgary and is currently serving as a Board Trustee with the Canadian Museum of History, Board Member with Canadian Forces Liaison Council, as Chair of the Board for Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan, Member of Calgary Foundation Impact Investment Committee. Her past community work has included working with the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance in Switzerland, Famous 5 Foundation, and several other Calgary based organizations.
