60th Anniversary

In 2026 we're celebrating 60 years as a leading university in Canada. The UCalgary 60th anniversary logo honours our history of innovation, impact and vision for entrepreneurial thinking.

Primary logo

To acknowledge the UCalgary 60th anniversary, the 60th logo can temporarily be used in place of the official UCalgary logo for the duration of the celebration period, happening from September 2025 to the end of 2026.

Secondary logos

60th logo + Start something

The Start something wordmark and spark can still be used on materials separately from the 60th logo.

60th logo + Alumni

The existing standalone Alumni wordmark can still be used during the celebration year, paired with the 60th shield mark below.

60th Faculty lockups

60th faculty wordmark lockups can be used in place of current faculty lockups. These lockups should only be used for faculty-level representation. For lockups with departments/units, please use the 60th shield mark below.

60th Dinos wordmark

While acknowledging and celebrating the UCalgary 60th anniversary, the 60th Dinos wordmark can be used in place of the current Dinos wordmark. If using the full Dinos logo, please use the 60th shield mark below.

60th Shield mark

The 60th shield mark can be used when the 60th logo cannot be used. The full UCalgary logo, faculty/department/unit lockup, or Dinos logo must also be present on the same material. The only exception is social media profile icons.

Examples of the 60th logo in use

The 60th logo can be added to existing materials from September 2025 until the end of 2026 and does not need to be used exclusively for 60th anniversary-related events.

Visual treatment

For events and materials specific to the 60th anniversary, a retro-style visual treatment can be used. The stripes feature details from the 1981-1998 UCalgary logo and are a fun tribute to our history.

All UCalgary departments can use the stripes, available in five-stripe and three-stripe configurations. Where suitable, the three-stripe configuration can be used as a curved border. Please do not use the 60th anniversary visual treatment in combination with other UCalgary identities. For example, Start something (including Faculty-specific versions), Alumni or Convocation.
