Advancing UCalgary Badge Program
Badges are available to earn when you take the Advancement Communications professional development program. They provide a visual record of achievement, and can be stored or shared through social media or other networks, such as Mozilla Backpack, WordPress, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. Earn your Advancing UCalgary badge to document your development as a communicator for the university.
Participants can choose from a selection of live and pre-recorded sessions and publications based on their areas of interest and opportunities for development. They will leave with a greater understanding of current communications and marketing tools and techniques they can apply specifically to their work on behalf of the University of Calgary.
The program is designed for marketing and communications staff and the university, but it will also be beneficial to university employees interested in moving into the field.
Participants do not have to complete Level I requirements before taking Level II courses. They may be taken concurrently, but we recommend that you complete Level I first if possible. Level I courses serve as an excellent foundation for Level II.
