Practical Process Control and Dynamic Simulation

This extensive 3-day course covers the concepts critical to dynamic modelling that may be unfamiliar to engineers already experienced with steady state modelling. Evaluate and enhance plant-wide control strategies and develop in-house expertise using the powerful integrated simulation environment to create precision dynamic models for process and control design, and to meet safety and capacity requirements. The course will consist of morning lectures covering the fundamentals of dynamic simulation and process control, followed by afternoon problem solving sessions. The afternoon sessions will be hands-on computer simulation using the powerful dynamic capabilities of a commerical dynamic simulator. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of the underlying concepts and principles as well as the associated applications of dynamic simulation to solve real problems.

Quality Instruction by experienced personnel

Morning Lectures by Dr. Bill Svrcek and Dr. Brent Young, two authors of "A Real-Time Approach to Process Control"; Afternoon Workshops facilitated by dynamic simulation experts.
