A. Intro to Lake Stand Up Paddleboarding

This course will give you the skills you need to enjoy a day of flatwater on a stand up paddleboard. We'll teach you the proper paddling form and how to balance and maneuver the board. You'll learn about equipment, paddling safety and the appropriate locations. Prerequisite: none. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

B. Intro to River Stand Up Paddleboarding

Build on your flatwater stand up paddleboarding skills with this fun, 3-hour moving water course. We'll head to the Bow River at Bowness Park, where you'll be introduced to the skills you need—eddy turns and forward ferries—to safely navigate the Bow River. Prerequisite: A. Intro to Lake Stand Up Paddleboarding, ability to swim 20m without difficulty. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

C. Intro to Whitewater Stand Up Paddleboarding

Feel the thrill of moving through the class 2 waves at Harvie Passage on a Stand Up Paddleboard. Improve your moving water skills and join us for 3 hours as we work on getting you comfortable on your feet. Prerequisite: B. Intro to River Stand Up Paddleboarding, ability to swim 20m without difficulty. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

D. Intro to River Surfing on a Stand Up Paddleboard

Take the next step and learn how to surf a river wave on a Stand Up Paddleboard. In this 3-hour course, we'll explore the class 2 waves at Harvey Passage and get you flowing. Prerequisite: C. Intro to Whitewater Stand Up Paddleboarding, ability to swim 20m without difficulty. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

SUP Overnight Trip

NEW: This 2-day stand up paddleboarding trip is the perfect introduction to overnight tripping on a board. Learn the basics of wilderness camping and how to pack light. At the pre-trip meeting the week before, we'll cover all the logistics. On Saturday morning we'll start paddling the scenic stretch of the Bow River from McKinnon Flats to Carseland, and spend the weekend enjoying picturesque prairie and woodland landscape. Prerequisite: pretrip meeting. Includes: guide, all SUP gear, and group camping gear.

SUP Ultimate Package

We've bundled the stand up paddleboard lessons to save you $50. Now you can become a confident paddler in one summer. Choose from the dates for A. Intro to Lake Stand Up Paddlboarding, B. Intro to River Stand Up Paddleboarding and C. Intro to Whitewater Stand Up Paddleboarding. You'll soon be ripping through waves with ease and efficiency. Prerequisite: none. Participants must take the lessons in the order given. Includes: instructor and paddling equipment

SUP and Hike

This is a unique multi-sport adventure in the mountains where we'll paddle and hike on the same day. We start by paddling our stand up paddleboards across Barrier Lake with our hiking gear stowed in dry bags. Then we hike up toward scenic Jewell Pass, stopping along the way at a beautiful waterfall. Prerequisite: A. Intro to Lake Stand Up Paddleboarding or equivalent experience, ability to swim 20m without difficulty. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

Stand Up Paddleboard in the Mountains

Nothing beats paddling on a beautiful mountain lake, and now you can do it on a stand up paddleboard. On this day tour you'll learn or improve the skills and strokes needed to comfortably and efficiently maneuver on flatwater. We'll finish the day with a scenic paddling tour of Barrier Lake. Prerequisites: A. Intro to Lake Stand Up Paddleboarding, ability to swim 20m without difficulty. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.

SUP Fitness

This is a smart, fun fitness program on a stand up paddle board designed to give you a great core workout. We'll meet at a local pond for an hour in the evening and work on strength, balance, endurance and injury prevention. You can choose to take individual sessions or register for the whole series. Prerequisite: none. Includes: instructor, all SUP gear.
