The Women Guiding Women Mentorship and Leadership Training Program (WGW) was initiated in January of 2007. Since that time we have offered this semester-long program in four cycles to women from a myriad of fields of study and work. The success has been outstanding with our protégées quickly defining their career goals, growing in self-confidence, and creating lasting relationships with mentors who help to build their leadership potential. For mentors, this program has provided extensive professional development and networking opportunities.

Goals of Women Guiding Women

To create positive mentoring relationships between U of C women students and women from the Calgary community
-
To provide participants women-specific, collaborative leadership training that will help them to better understand their own career goals, increase their self-esteem and leadership potential, and empower them to make authentic life decisions;
-
To develop women's networking circles comprised of successful women in the workforce as well as female students from a range of disciplines.
