Founded in 1989, the Group is supported by the University of Calgary to encourage research into all areas of eighteenth-century studies by established scholars and graduate students alike. Its major mandate is to bridge the various disciplines to give a full view of the century. To this end, it arranges a regular program of speakers to present recent and ongoing scholarship, and serves as a centre of discussion and further association.
