University Health Services provides quality health care and education in a reassuring friendly manner. Its primary focus is centered on students. Health care is available for faculty and staff on an emergency basis, but they must maintain a family physician in the community.
A special welcome to new and returning students! Remember that the physician in the Wellness Centre can see you on a walk-in or appointment basis. Questions about the Graduate or opting out can be addressed by Undergrad Student Benefit's Office, Rm 352 MacEwan Student Centre http://www.mystudentplan.ca/uofcalgary
For information on the Graduate Student Health and Dental Plan, see http://www.gsa.ucalgary.ca/services/health.html.

You are always welcome to talk to one of our counsellors, physicians or chaplains for support. Call 403 210 9355 or pop by MSC 370.
Please visit Dental Choice located at MSC 360. Services are available for staff, students, faculty and their families.
Alberta Health Care Insurance or similar provincial health care insurance will cover the cost of the physician visit. We strongly advise all eligible students to apply for coverage under these plans. If you do not have such coverage, you will be billed privately. Coverage for prescription drugs is partially provided by the National Student Health Plan, provided by the Student's Union and included in your tuition fees. To opt out of this, you must have an equivalent or better private insurance plan which provides prescription medication coverage. You can obtain a current validation card to show to the pharmacist, from the Undergrad Student Benefit's Office, Rm 352 MacEwan Student Centre http://www.mystudentplan.ca/uofcalgary
For information on the Graduate Student Health and Dental Plan, see http://www.gsa.ucalgary.ca/services/health.html.
