Book of the Duchess materials will be mounted at this site over the next few weeks. University administrative work has interfered with my ability to update this site in a timely way between January 1998 and April 1999.
Proposed schedule for summer work, 1999:
By May 31: Draft of XML DTD for manuscript transcription mounted to site; transcription guide for manuscripts mounted to site.
By June 30: TEI-Lite versions of transcriptions and source texts mounted to site.
By July 31: XML versions of transcriptions mounted to site.
By August 31: Emended versions of core files for reading edition mounted to site; Version of critical edition with links to textual notes mounted to site.
By August 31: Updated version of CD ready for burning.
1. Corrected or improved files from CD (provided for free download by owners of the CD):
Revised acknowledgements and dedication page (the file included on the CD rudely failed to acknowledge the assistance of beta testers!).
Corrected file for transcription of MS Tanner 346 (the file on the CD has some improperly coded hypertext targets, so that linking to
the transcription from the reading edition only takes you to the document, not
to the folio you want).
