Teaching Project Management Community of Practice

MEETING #2

Meeting agenda TBD. Please stay tuned!

How are we teaching project management to postsecondary students? Are we succeeding in bridging the gap between education and industry? If you are currently teaching Project Management at the postsecondary level, we invite you to join this new and exciting community of practice. We want to start the conversation and we are curious to see where it will go. As a community, we can integrate the silos and propel instructors and students alike in the field of project management. We can show industry that our students are prepared for the real world.

Grace Whitehead is a Program Coordinator at the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning. She holds a BEd and a CAPM and is currently working toward her PMP.

George Jergeas is a Professor in the Schulich School of Engineering and the Director of the Project Management Program.

Both Grace and George are active members of the PMI (Project Management Institute).

If you are interested in this community of practice but are unable to attend this meeting, please email Grace Whitehead at gcwhiteh@ucalgary.ca to be invited to our next meeting.
