Helping Students Help Themselves: Strategies and Resources to Promote Self-Regulated Learning

In this session, participants will learn how self-regulated learning skills empower students to take ownership of their education and implement successful learning strategies. The facilitator will also provide participants with an understanding of campus resources they can direct their students to when they identify a student who needs to develop their learning skills.

By the end of this session you will be able to:
1. Implement learning activities that support students’ development of self-regulated learning strategies
2. Assist students who would benefit from further developing their learning strategies in accessing support services across campus

This workshop is offered to support the vision and work of the campus mental health strategy teaching and learning subcommittee

This workshop can be used toward the completion of the Theories and Issues in Postsecondary Teaching and Learning for Postdoctoral Scholars and Graduate Students program
