If you are wondering if the program you're in is right for you and you are interested in potentially changing your program for Winter 2010, know that there are a number of services to support you through this transition.
If you need to explore your options a bit more before going ahead with a program change, stop by the Counselling Centre (located in the SU Wellness Centre) on the third floor of MacEwan Student Centre. You can drop into a career clinic that will provide you with information about the career decision-making process and resources to help you pursue a new career direction. These clinics are offered on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and Fridays at 11 a.m.
For students looking for more ongoing assistance, individual career counselling is available to help with self-assessment (exploration of interests, personality preferences, values, skills, and desired lifestyle), career, and educational research. Visit the counselling website for more information.
If you are a student in Communication and Culture, Humanities, Science or Social Science, contact the Undergraduate Program Office for help applying to change your degree program for the Winter 2010 term. This applies only to programs that are not considered competitive programs, however, this still leaves lots to choose from if you're finding that your current program isn't as good a fit as you thought it would be. For more information, please contact the UPO.
