Mysteries of the Northern Lights

As far south as Calgary, we can see the waving and undulating colors that ripple through the night sky. These mysterious lights have intrigued astronomers for centuries. Learn about the latest research and the technology used to capture and study the Northern Lights as Eric Donovan from the U of C's physics and astronomy department presents Near Earth Plasma Environment.

Regardless of the time of year at which the Open House is held, visitors are advised to DRESS WARMLY, and to bring flashlights. The RAO is on an exposed hill and the wind can be biting.  $20 per car.
