Environment

As part of its day-to-day operation, the University of Calgary has obligation under numerous environmental laws and regulations.  Enacted by all three levels of government, these result in a complex regulatory framework.

Environment, Health & Safety assists the campus community to meet these obligations by providing accurate, timely advice on environmental compliance matters.  We support these efforts by conducting periodic inspections of university facilities to gauge compliance with regulations or approvals.  Procedural guidance documents based on best practices and regulations are also generated.
