Rural Anesthesia for G.P. Anesthesiologists:
for G.P. anesthesiologists in rural communities

This course provides updates and information
on current issues and techniques on anesthesia that are relevant to the practice of G.P. anesthesiologists in rural areas.

ECG Interpretation for Family Physicians

This course provides a review of basic 12-lead ECG Interpretation skills required by family physicians. It is of interest to those preparing to write the CPSA ECG interpretation exam and those wishing to upgrade their skills in this area.

for physicians and nurses in rural hospitals

This course provides participants with updates and information on the management of urgent conditions presenting special challenges in the rural emergency department including assessment, investigation and treatment.

This course provides updates and information on clinical topics important to hospitalists and rural practicing physicians who care for patients in a hospital setting.

Exam Preparation Courses

CCFP Exam Preparation Course

For practice eligible physicians registered to take the certification exam of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. This course is offered
once a year in the fall.

October 1 & 2, 2011

MCC QE Part II (Clinical Exam) Preparation Course

For physicians new to Canada who are preparing to take Part II of the Medical Council of Canada qualifying exam. This course is offered once a year in the spring.

Video Conference Program

For rural physicians and other health professionals in primary care and rural hospital environments.
Offered in collaboration with the University of Alberta's Continuous Professional Learning, the video conference program presents information and updates on the diagnosis, management, treatment and referral of specific medical problems in a case-based interactive format.

Tuesdays, 0800 - 0900 from September to May.
