Accommodation for Students & Residents

Where will I stay?

 

For Rural/Regional Pre-clerkship Summer and Clerkship Electives

1. You are responsible for finding and paying for your rural/regional accommodation.
2. Once your elecive is done, and this is a student pre-clerkship summer or clerkship elective, submit the accommodation receipt as an eligible expense (Only ORIGINAL RECEIPTS are accepted)
3. Note: please see our "Funding & Expenses" page, as some restrictions apply.

Mandatory Clerkship Rotations

1. UME will provide DLRI with the mandatory rotation details.
2. DLRI will request your accommodation with our housing partner
3. NOTE: If you are staying with family/friends and DO NOT require accommodation, please contact our office at least two weeks prior to your rotation so that we cancel the accommodation for you.
4. Two weeks before your scheduled rotation, you will receive an email from our housing partner giving you  your accommodation details.  If you have not heard from the provider, one week out, please contact kelly (ruralmed [at] ucalgary [dot] ca).
5. Contact your accommodation provider to confirm your arrival and arrange to pick up keys.
