Three Steps for a Complete Application

The Community Advisor application process for the 2012-2013 academic year is now closed.  The text below is for information purposes only.

In order to have a complete application package, you must complete these three steps prior to the January 23 deadline:

Step 1: If you have not been a Community Advisor at the U of C before, please fill out an application form.  Submit this form to the Residence Services front desk.

If you are a returning staff member of the Residence Education Team, please fill out an application form.  Submit this form to the Residence Services front desk.

Step 2: Have your references complete the Community Advisor Applicant Reference Form and submit it to the Residence Services front desk.

Step 3: Send your cover letter and résumé in PDF to Jason Bowers at jfbowers@ucalgary.ca.  You will receive an email response confirming we have received your documents.

NOTE: all parts of the application package (application form, Community Advisor Applicant Reference Form, cover letter, and résumé) are due on or before January 23 at 4:30pm.

Information Sessions

All potential Community Advisor candidates were invited to attend information sessions in December and January.

These sessions consisted of an in-depth discussion and presentation about the position.  Those that attended learned about the duties of a CA, heard what Residence Education Team training is like, and had the opportunity to speak with current CAs about their experiences and about the application and interview process.

On your application form, please indicate which information session you have attended.
