T2202A Certificates for the 2011 tax year will be available for students to print directly from their online Student Centre by February 29, 2012.
The Tuition and Education Amounts Certificate (T2202A) is based on the calendar year (January 1- December 31). It provides information on the amount of eligible fees paid in the past year and the number of months of attendance in full and/or part time studies for the purpose of filing an income tax return. This form can be used for a student's own personal tax return or to transfer some, or all, of the amount to a spouse or parent.
To access your T2202A please follow these steps:
To access your T2202A from a previous tax year, change the year in the drop down menu and click on "Retrieve".

Q: What if I have a hold for fees on my account from that calendar year?
A: Students owing fees for the tax year in which they need a receipt can print their tax receipt from the online Student center. However, the tax receipt will show only the amounts PAID, and will not reflect any fees which have not been paid from that calendar year. Not all fees paid are tax deductible, however. Please refer to Claiming Tuition Fees & the Education Amount for more information.
Q: I have already graduated. How do I get my tax receipt?
A: Students still have access to the MyUofC portal even after graduation as long as they remember their EID and password. For help recovering your EID or password, please contact the IT help desk: 403 220 5555. Once you are logged into MyUofC click on the "Student Center" link under Quick links.
Q: I've never created an EID, what do I do?
A: You can register for an EID (you will need your UCID for this) through MyUofC. Make sure your "role" is selected as student (or Alumni if you've already graduated), as you are accessing your student records. If you have your UC ID and are still having problems registering for an EID, contact our IT help desk at: 403 220 5555.
Note: If you created your EID under a "guest account", you may need to link your UCID to your account. To link your roles, log into MyUofC, go into your "account", and "link any related UCID(s)/roles" (which requires your UCID). When this step is successful, you will need to log out and back in again for the Student Center link to appear under "quick links". Note: It can take up to 24 hours for the Student Center link to appear after this step is successful. If you require assistance linking your accounts, please contact the help desk at 403 220 5555.
Due to FOIP, your UCID can not be requested by phone, but can be requested in writing by fax: 403 289 1253. Include your full legal name, date of birth and signature. Once we verify this information, we can fax or email your UCID to you. Alternatively, you can request your tax form in writing to the above fax number, by including the above information. This form can then be emailed or mailed back to you (but can not be faxed).
