Steps to Graduation
Your Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Apply to Graduate
As you get to your last two sessions at the University of Calgary, you need to apply to graduate.
To Apply for your Degree
This is done through your Student Centre by choosing "Apply for Graduation" in the other academic drop-down menu.
Deadline for 2012 submission
Please continue to check your Student Centre regarding degree status.
Deadline for the 2012 application for degree:
- **NEW - December 31, 2011 if your degree requirements will be completed by end of the fall 2011 semester.
- February 1, 2012 if your degree requirements will be completed by the end of the winter 2012 semester.
Step 2: Get Approved
Contact your Faculty Advisor to verify your eligibility to graduate. Undergraduates should request a degree audit from their Faculty Office to ensure the courses they are registered in will complete their degree requirements.
Step 3: Graduate
Complete the Attendance Notification through your Student Centre by the required deadline. You can order your gown if you will be attending or you can advise that you will pick up your degree or request for it to be mailed.

Students who are receiving degrees are asked to check your Student Centre regarding their ceremony date, the spelling of their names and information that will be printed on their official University documents.
