Tour Groups

The RAO is pleased to offer the following options for your group.

Tours of the RAO - Do you have a organization or youth group that would like to visit the observatory. Book a tour and see the awesome 1.8m ARCT (one of the largest telescopes in all of Canada!) and the amazing 0.5m Baker-Nunn telescope which continually scans the sky searching for "killer" asteroids! The RAO also has a Interpretive Centre with modern classroom facilities as well as a series of educational displays. Visits can be tailored to the desires and needs of your organization or youth group. A minimum of 10 people is required to book a tour. Cost is $100 for a group of 10 - 30 people, $200 for 31 - 60 people, etc.

Meeting Space Rentals - The RAO Interpretive Centre can be rented on a daily basis to groups seeking to host a meeting at a unique venue. Our classroom can accommodate 100 people and has state-of-the-art presentation facilities (LCD data projector, loudspeaker system with wireless mike, wireless internet access). We also have an outdoor amphitheatre space. The facility also has ample parking, bathrooms, and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for pricing information.
