Appointment of the Executive Director, Provost's Office
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Shawna Boyko to the position of Executive Director of the Provost's Office. Shawna, who will begin work in her new role on Monday, July 26, has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at the University of Calgary. Currently, she is the Human Resources Consultant in Student and Enrolment Services, and she has also served as Director of Finance and Administration in the Faculty of Fine Arts, and as Department Manager in Civil Engineering.
Shawna is a graduate of the University of Calgary, having successfully completed a Master of Business Administration in the Haskayne School in 2009. Shawna also holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Lethbridge.
I should like to thank my fellow members on the interview team, Sandy Murphree and Jody Fraser, for their participation. They, like me, feel sure that Shawna's background, skills and experience equip her very well for success as Executive Director in the Provost's Office.
