Academic Foundations: Principles to Guide University Planning
The review and revision of the academic plan of the University of Calgary would not have been possible without the significant contributions of the university community. This new document, Academic Foundations, replaces the old academic plan, Raising our Sights.
From October 2008 to January 2009, Dr. Goldstein, former Vice-President (Research)and Dr. Harrison, former Provost and Vice-President (Academic), held consultation meetings with students, faculty and staff about the university's academic plan and Strategic Research Plan. An extensive review and approvals process, including review by the campus community, followed the consultations.
