Poet of the Season

Welcome to Poem of the Season

The Creative Writing Research Group welcomes you to the Poem of the Season website and digital collection.  The goal of Poem of the Season is to inject a bit of poetry into campus life and to support the creative efforts of University of Calgary students.  To that end, every semester a jury selects one poem from submissions by members of the University of Calgary student community. That poem is featured on over one hundred posters displayed campus-wide and on this website.

Here you can meet Poem of the Season winners and read their work. You can find out how to submit your own poems for upcoming contests. And you can explore related resources, writing tips, poetry databases, and much more.
