Convocation Address, Dr. Ronald Bond

Dr. Ronald Bond retired from the University of Calgary on June 30th, 2006, after a thirty-three year career. In that time, Dr. Bond did it all--English prof, Department Head, Dean and, most recently, Vice-President Academic and Provost. The Convocation ceremony on June 9th, 2006 marked the last Convocation that Dr. Bond would attend in his capacity as Provost. His address to the students is presented here.

Installation of Chancellor Joanne Cuthbertson

On September 19th, 2006, Joanne Cuthbertson was sworn in as the 11th Chancellor of the University of Calgary, succeeding Mr. Bill Warren. Ms. Cuthbertson has many years of service in the Calgary community, supporting a wide variety of educational initiatives and charitable organizations.
