Fall Orientation Week

From September 6 – 9, take part in a 15-year tradition at the University of Calgary.

Fall Orientation Week is a rite of passage for all University of Calgary students. This fun-filled week kicks off with our New Student Induction Ceremony, where you’ll be officially welcomed to the university. Throughout the entire week, you will participate in numerous events and activities designed to set you up for success during your time here at the University of Calgary. Your week wraps up with KICKOFF, the university’s annual tailgate party and football homecoming game.

New Student Induction Ceremony
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Jack Simpson Gymnasium

Presidents’ BBQ
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Location: TFDL Quad

Campus Carnival
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Location: Outside between the MacEwan Student Centre and MacKimmie Library Block near the prairie chicken. Rain location is MacHall.

Common Reading Program Core Discussion Group Sessions
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Various locations across campus

CRP Dinner with Conor Grennan
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Legacy Suite Dinning Centre

A Night on the SU

  • Science: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Mac Hall Ballroom (3rd floor)
