Undergraduate Students

Making the transition from high school or another post-secondary school can be overwhelming. Orientation provides you with the tools and information you need to start your university career off strong.

Orientation for undergraduate students is comprised of the following events and programs:

Common Reading Program

Throughout the summer, you will participate in the University of Calgary Common Reading Program. In July, all new undergraduate students will be mailed the same book and asked to join the online discussion, as well as enter a reflective response contest to win free textbooks for a semester. During Fall Orientation Week, you will participate in a group discussion about the book.

The selection for 2012 is Bitter Medicine: A Graphic Memoir of Mental Illnessby Clem Martini and Olivier Martini. Stay tuned to your mailbox for your copy!
