The U of C is the first Western Canadian university to introduce co-curricular records. The record, which launches in January 2009 will officially recognize students’ on campus involvement outside of the classroom.

Host Harry Forestell: Well, many of the big ticket items you buy these days come with some form of guarantee, doesn't matter whether it's a car or a computer, it's a way of ensuring that you get exactly what you paid for.
Well, starting this fall, a Canadian university is taking on the same idea. A university graduation will now come with a guarantee provided you go to the University of Calgary. It's the first in Canada to offer a four-year graduation guarantee.
Anne Tierney: We want to try and ensure those who want to finish in four years and we've done everything possible to make sure that happens, to make sure there's access to the courses and no scheduling conflicts for them. Of course, they have obligations as well, but if they do their part, we'll do our part.
