Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd. has made a gift of $250,000 to the Schulich School of Engineering to support student recognition and upgrades to a third-year homeroom.

The funds were put towards much-needed renovations of the homeroom for third-year civil engineering students. Homerooms are a central component of the student experience at the Schulich School of Engineering. They provide space for students to study, collaborate on assignments and, in many cases, form lifelong friendships with classmates.

In addition to the Stuart Olson Dominion Civil Engineering Third-Year Homeroom, the gift provides for the Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd. Engineering Leadership Awards. These scholarship and bursaries will recognize undergraduate students who demonstrate excellence in leadership and academics.

The gift from Stuart Olson Dominion is a valuable contribution to the Schulich School's Engineering Leaders campaign, a $60-million initiative to build the best in engineering schools by upgrading facilities and adding more space for students.
