The Calgary Chapter of Meal Exchange is housed in the Centre for Community-Engaged Learning and made up of student leaders from all fields and levels of study. This year marked the fourth annual Trick or Eat, a national costumed food drive hosted by Meal Exchange, and celebrated it largest success to date with more than 400 registered participants collecting 4,729 lb. of food benefiting the campus and Calgary Interfaith food banks. It took the efforts of many to make it happen. The Students’ Union, Leadership and Student Engagement Office and their Emerging Leaders and Sophomore Leaders, and Student Enrolment Services collected non-perishable donations, Parking Services contributed free parking for all participants, and the Den & Outdoor Centre offered prizes. Both the Students’ Union Campus Food Bank and Calgary Interfaith Food Bank continue to offer their support and partnership in this event. |
