Aravind Ganesh honoured at May 2012 convocation

I am pleased to announce to the campus community that Aravind Ganesh is a recipient of a 2012 President’s Award for Excellence in Student Leadership. Aravind will be recognized at our May 10th convocation as he graduates with a BSc in Biological Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine. The President's Award recognizes students with a record of outstanding academic achievement and proven leadership skills who have made significant contributions to our community. Aravind’s academic and extracurricular accomplishments, the impact of his work with the Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre, and his sense of duty to his community has earned him the admiration of his peers and praise from faculty, including Dr. Tom Feasby, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who said, “Aravind is one of the most remarkable students that I have ever known.” Please join me in congratulating Aravind on this award, and read more about him and President’s Award recipients for June in upcoming UToday articles.
