The Faculty of Arts’ Calgary Distinguished Writers Program (CDWP) is currently searching for the 2014-15 writer-in-residence. Early to mid-career Canadian writers looking for ten months to devote to their craft should apply. The deadline for applications is Jan. 31.

The CDWP provides a unique opportunity for writers to work on their own projects while giving back to the literary community, and offers writers one of the highest paid residencies in North America. The CDWP is looking for a promising writer in any genre who has published one to four books, plays or screenplays.

The successful candidate will join a long list of acclaimed writers, such as Eden Robinson, Marcello Di Cintio, Sina Queyras, and this year’s writer-in-residence, Deborah Willis.
