Each workshop at the SU Wellness Centre is 90 minutes.
Wellness is the ability to live life to the fullest and to maximize personal potential in a variety of ways. It involves continually learning and making changes to enhance well-being. When we balance the physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, occupational and environmental aspects of life, we can achieve true wellness.

Optimal wellness allows you to achieve your academic, personal and professional goals, in addition to finding meaning and purpose in your life.

The Students’ Union Wellness Centre is offering free wellness workshops throughout the winter term. Each interactive workshop is 90 minutes; you take just one or all five.

Workshops will include:

Good Body: Your Best Physical Self
Learn about elements necessary for enhancing your health and building your resilience. Building physical wellness will boost your ability to manage the stress of university.
Workshop dates (in Wellness Centre classroom):
Monday, Jan. 25, 3:30-5 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 24, 4-5:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 18, 4:30-6 p.m.

Good Thoughts: Your Best Mental Self
You will learn strategies for improving motivation and optimism as well as skills in identifying and overcoming negativity and worry.

Monday, Feb. 8, 4:30-6 p.m.
Thursday, March 11, 4-5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 30, 3:30-5 p.m.

Good Feelings: Your Best Emotional Self
In this experiential workshop, we will help you learn to become a better observer of your feelings, to accept and value them and to attend to what they signal to you.

Tuesday, Feb. 2, 4-5:30 p.m.
Monday, March 1, 3:30-5 p.m.
Wednesday, March 24, 4:30-6 p.m.

Good Connections: Your Best Social Self
In this workshop, we will discuss ways to talk about issues that really matter, create healthy boundaries and balance your rights with those of others.

Wednesday, Jan. 27, 4-5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 2, 4:30-6 p.m.
Monday, March 22, 3:30-5 p.m.

Good Heart: Your Best Spiritual Self
This workshop will include three activities that can provide a sense of spiritual wellness in a short period of time.

Monday, Feb. 1, 4:30-6 p.m. in KNB 70
Tuesday, Feb. 23, 4-5:30 p.m. in KNB 70
Wednesday, March 17, 3:30-5 p.m. in The Empty Space
