Eight University of Calgary alumni will be among those recognized at WXN’s Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100™ Awards and Summit in Calgary on Feb. 3. The Top 100 list, which is compiled by an independent advisory board, is made up of leaders from many walks of life including corporate executives, entrepreneurs, public sector leaders, trailblazers and trendsetters, champions, professionals, future leaders and arts and communications.


Kimberley Amirault, PhD'00, Sherri Brillon, BA'81, Teri Currie, BSc'86, Jennifer Hatfield, PhD'01, Lakshmi Raj, BSc'95, Mary Rozsa de Coquet, BEd'79, DiPEd'88, LLD'06, Vianne Timmons, PhD'93 and Emily Zhang, BSc'05 were all named to the Top 100 list in 2008, and will be celebrated at the awards and summit, which will bring together some of the province’s most powerful women for a day of professional development, networking and celebration.

The Calgary Top 100 Summit, which began three years ago, offers women executives the opportunity to meet and learn from the most successful and influential women in the province. The Summit is open to members and non-members and includes a welcome breakfast, panel on leading in turbulent times, breakout sessions and awards luncheon with keynote speaker U of C Chancellor Joanne Cuthbertson.
