Brazilian Master of Arts student earns Calgary peace prize 
Daniela Nascimento won the 2008 YMCA Calgary Peace Medal for NewClassroom—a project she developed to improve teaching in her native Brazil.

Italy’s first effort to connect with foreign youth
University of Calgary student Franco Rizzuti, 20, is one of two Albertans attending a conference in Italy to discuss the needs and wants of Italian youth living abroad.

United Way still accepting donations
The U of C raised almost $195,000 in support of local agencies and charities as part of its United Way Campaign. Even though the campaign is now over, the university is still accepting donations towards this year's goal of $215,000.
