The university proudly hosted the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) on our campus on Tuesday.  As the national voice for Canadian universities, the AUCC’s members represent 97 public and private not-for-profit universities and university degree-level colleges, including the University of Calgary.

The afternoon began in the Rozsa Centre with a meeting of the presidents’ working group on campus-community collaboration and a number of invited community members. This meeting was followed by a tour of the Nickle Galleries and the Taylor Family Digital Library, which featured the visualization studio. The day closed with a reception and dinner in the Energy, Environment, Experiential Learning (EEEL) Building.

“It was an honour to welcome my fellow AUCC members to our campus.  We have so much to be proud of here at the University of Calgary: our talented and accomplished students, faculty and staff; our world-class facilities including the cutting edge Taylor Family Digital Library and our award-winning EEEL Building, and our ambitious Eyes High vision for the future,” says President Elizabeth Cannon. “Hosting organizations like the AUCC enables us to demonstrate to our colleagues from across the country that we are a leading next-generation university in the nation’s most enterprising city.”
