An array of twisting turbines generates pollution-free electricity in the foothills of sourthern Alberta. Alberta produces more wind energy than all other Canadian provinces. Wind energy in Canada accounts for 1,588 megawatts, or enough to power 480,000 homes, supplying about 0.5 percent of the country's total electricity demand. |
